Arrival Day:
Upon your arrival at Lombok International Airport or any of the main ports (Lembar, Bangsal, or Teluk Kodek), our representative will be there to greet you. We also provide pickups from popular tourist areas like Senggigi, Kuta Lombok, or the Gili Islands (Trawangan, Meno, and Air). From there, we’ll drive you directly to your hotel in Senaru. Once you’ve checked in, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while meeting our team.
You’ll have a briefing session with your trekking guide and porters to go over the itinerary and safety procedures. If you arrive at least an hour before sunset, you’ll have time for a scenic walk to the stunning Sindang Gile and Tiu Kelap waterfalls before your trek begins the next day.
3 days and Two nights summit start from sembalun end in torean
While you can certainly arrive on the morning of your trek, we highly recommend getting here a day early. Staying the night in Senaru ensures a relaxed start and helps avoid any unexpected travel delays.
Day 1: Senaru to Sembalun Village and Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)
Your adventure begins with a 6:00 AM wake-up call, followed by breakfast. At 7:00 AM, we’ll head to Sembalun Village via a 45-60 minute drive in our specialized mountain vehicle, arriving around 8:00 AM.
After registering at the Rinjani Information Center (1,051m), we start the trek to Pos 1 (1,300m), which takes about 2 hours. After a brief 10-minute rest, we continue for an hour to Pos 2 (Tengengean, 1,500m). Following another short break, we trek for an hour to Pos 3 (Pada Balong, 1,800m), where we’ll stop for a 2-hour lunch break. Our porters will prepare a fresh meal and hot drinks (tea, coffee, or cocoa) for you.
The final stretch of the day is a 3-hour steady climb to the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m). Here, we’ll set up camp so you can enjoy a breathtaking sunset over Segara Anak Lake, Sembalun Village, and the Rinjani summit.
Day 2: Sembalun Crater Rim to Rinjani Summit (3,726m) to Lake & Hot Springs to Senaru Crater Rim
We’ll wake you up at 2:30 AM for a light snack before starting the summit push at 3:00 AM. The trek to the top takes roughly 3.5 hours. The first section is a moderate incline, followed by a flatter long walk. The final hour is the most challenging—a steep, sandy climb where for every two steps forward, you may slip one step back.
From the 3,726m summit, you’ll witness a spectacular sunrise with views of the entire Lombok island, Bali, and Sumbawa. We then head back down to the rim for a warm breakfast before descending to Segara Anak Lake (2,008m). Please be careful, as the 3-hour descent is steep and slippery.
At the lake, enjoy lunch and a soak in the natural hot springs, known for their healing properties. After lunch, we’ll begin a 3-hour climb up to the Senaru Crater Rim. This path is rocky and quite steep, so watch your footing. Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with an incredible sunset over Mt. Agung in Bali and views of the smoking “New Volcano” (Gunung Baru Jari) within the lake. Dinner will be served at the campsite.
Enjoy your final mountain breakfast while taking in the morning views of the lake. We’ll begin the 4-5 hour descent back to Senaru Village, stopping for lunch near Pos 1 or Pos Extra.
We expect to arrive at the Senaru Trekking Centre between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM. From there, our private car will be ready to transport you to your next destination, whether it’s the Gili Islands, Senggigi, Mataram, or Lombok International Airport.
